Dear Friend,

Since we opened the doors of our center in 2016, Brightmoor Artisans Collective (BAC) has served as a key community resource and advocate for local farmers, artisan businesses, and Brightmoor neighbors. Our grassroots efforts provide a vital space to support start-up entrepreneurs through our three main programs: the BAC Incubator Kitchen, the Artisans Pop-Up Cafe, and our weekly Artisans Farmers Market.

In 2022 alone, we welcomed 12 Detroit small businesses into our Cafe & Kitchen, as well as 6 local businesses at our weekly farmers market, not to mention a wealth of community organizations and nonprofits that serve the local area. In 2023, our goal is to double our kitchen & cafe membership and increase our market size to accommodate even more vendors, tripling our market participation since last year. Exciting growth is happening and we need our Friends to help us reach our goals!

Beyond our programs for local entrepreneurs, BAC is also an important resource and space for the community of Brightmoor to gather for creativity, fellowship, and experiential learning. We host a wide variety of free community events and workshops right here in the heart of our neighborhood. As a federally designated food desert, Brightmoor is in dire need of more programs like BAC that are focused on food sovereignty, community wellness, and local economic development. Contributions from Friends of BAC help us to ensure that we are able to continue offering FREE community programming and continue to expand those programs for the community of Brightmoor.

We want to see Brightmoor thrive & believe that we are stronger together—

Consider becoming a Friend of BAC today!

Brightmoor Artisans Collective is a place where small businesses begin and grow, a home for community gatherings, and a hub for neighbors to access both education and resources. Please join us— together, we can help Brightmoor shine brighter!
